“Where the hell am I supposed to find wood?” She grumped, racing over towards the nearest tree in the city and snapping a branch off, doing the same to the others as fast as she could. Lightening strikes grew more frequent, the thunder echoing against the walls of the city. She ran as fast as she could back to Ed, throwing the sticks his way.

“I don’t know, just find some!” He shouted back, pulling another confused alchemist from the line. The storm was picking up fast. Ed Lit one of the dry branches, and quickly set to work getting people out from under the control of the shadows. There was enough of them moved to where they could start to break the chalk line. Ed smudged it a bit, and the circle broke. The large black creature was still moving, so the circle was still active.

“It’s not working.” She breathed in defeat. Her eyes fell on the massive creature that had completely shed it’s skin in the fountain. It tried to move, it’s hands twisting. It’s eyes were open, completely white as it stared up at the rain storm. A few alchemists in the front line began to collapse, falling on their knees as they grabbed their head at the immense pain. The ones farther in were instantly aware of their surroundings, but the pain seemed so high that it was affecting even them. “Edward!” She shouted, pointing at Alphonse and Mustang

“God dammit, ALPHONSE.” Ed shouted, going in after his brother. He couldn’t stand to see them like that. The shadows didn’t try to stop him. They had what they wanted. The beast was coming to life. Ed could feel the searing pain as he got farther in. It felt like his head was going to burst. “C’mon..we have to get out..” He tried tugging on Al and Mustang to get them to move. They weren’t under control anymore, but the pain made them not want to move.

“Edward!” She screamed, furious as she watched him dart into the circle. “The beast! Kill it, and see if that will do anything!” She glanced back at the storm, drenched to the core as the other soldiers, the ones free, began dragging their injured comrades from the circle. When the outside circle was broken, a loud cry of pain came from the beast in the middle. Without a second thought, Alyvia darted into the core of the circle to get Hawkeye and the others, her head splitting at the pain shooting in her head.
